Reading Co-operative Bank Contributes to Friends of Reading Recreation

Reading Co-operative Bank recently donated $2,000 to the Friends of Reading Recreation (FORR) to support their programming, events, and other community initiatives. The donation will also help support the formation of new programs. FORR holds a wide variety of events and activities for children, adults, and families to encourage physical fitness and involvement.

"Friends of Reading Recreation greatly appreciates the financial support of Reading Co-operative Bank. RCB has been a Lead Sponsor since FORR's inception 7 years ago, and their support has allowed FORR to provide many free or low-cost programs and events to the community.  Some of our events include Kids Fun Run, adult pick-up soccer, basketball, running, biking, hiking, and ultimate Frisbee, and our middle school track and cross country teams," says Peter Coumounduros, member of FORR Board of Directors.

“The activities and events that FORR organizes are really beneficial to the community. They really offer an activity for anyone. We are happy to support an organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle and encourages kids and adults to get outside and get active,” says Sandy Convery, Reading Co-operative Bank’s Reading Branch Manager.
