Six Reading and North Reading students will be appearing in Stoneham Theatre’s young company Summer Festival 2013. Stoneham Theatre’s young company offers year-round theatrical training and performing opportunities for children ages 7 – 18. This year’s Summer Festival will showcase five musicals and one play: Starmites Lite, Bye, Bye Birdie, The Wiz, Jekyll & Hyde, Bernarda Alba, and The Handless Maiden.
Jada Rameriz, Andrew Vontzalides, and Lucy Russell can be seen in the classic 1960s musical, Bye, Bye Birdie, about an Elvis-like, teen superstar who turns a small town in Ohio upside-down. Jekyll & Hyde, a musical retelling of the classic story about a doctor whose experiments create a murderous counterpart, will Joseph Ferri, Andrew Sack, and Stefanie Sack.
