Andrew Bourque scored minutes into the sudden death overtime to give The Rockets a 5 to 4 victory over the Burlington Red Devils in the Rockets home and season opener. The Rockets dominated possession throughout the game but Burlington’s Goalie was superb and Reading scored late in the 4th quarter to force overtime. Captain’s James Marcucella and Ray Cozzi Jr. were excellent defending Burlington’s strong midfielders forcing turnovers throughout the game. Cozzi came up big in the overtime when he stripped the ball at midfield allowing Reading to call a timeout and set up Bourque’s winning score. The Rockets are now 1 and 0 on the season and will host a tough Wakefield team Wednesday April 9th at 4PM.
