Monday Essentials: Events for the Kids (And You)

We’re in the middle of the summer dog days.

Heat, humidity – and not a lot going on in town. But there events planned this week to keep the kids busy – and a chance for you to get out of the house and enjoy a cocktail.

1. Splash Park: Doesn’t that just found like fun?! If your children are hot and need to cool off (and have some fun), head down to the Burbank YMCA’s Splash Park. Here’s all you need to know about the Splash Park, including hours and cost.

4. Participate: The Reading School Committee will host a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 22. There has been a lot of discussion about the new math curriculum. Here’s more information about the meeting.

5. Cocktails for a Cause: Enjoy a night out of the house for Cocktails for a Cause, which will raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association, on Thursday, July 25 at Great American Tavern in North Reading. There will be a cash bar and light fare. Those who attend can learn more about the 2013 Northeastern MA Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 29 in Andover. Click here for more information.
