Reading postal workers will make a special delivery for the Reading Food Pantry.

The workers will collect donations on their mail routes Sat., May 10. Residents can leave donations outside their mailboxes or hand them to carriers.

The food pantry is in need of:

  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Laundry detergent
  • Dish detergent
  • Tissues
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Child-friendly crackers, like Goldfish
  • Pancake mix and syrup
  • Granola bars
  • Fruit cups
  • Instant rice
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste

The food pantry is asking for volunteers to sort and put away donations May 10.

You can sign up for shifts (as little as one hour) from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by calling the pantry at 781-944-8486 and leaving a message with the number of volunteers and the time you can come.
