When is Yard Waste Collection in Reading?

Leaf collection got underway this week and will continue over the next several weeks.

So you've raked your leaves and put them into paper bags. Now you're likely wondering -- When is the town going to pick them up?

According to the Reading Department of Public Works website, leaf pick up got underway this week and continues into December.

Residents can put their leaves and yard waste out with their trash on regular pick up day the week of November 18. The yard waste must be in paper bags, however, and materials will not be taken if they are in plastic bags.

This week was the first of three pick up weeks. There will be no yard waste pick up the week of November 11, but leaves will be picked up again the week of November 18 and the week of December 2.

In addition, the Compost Center will be open through Sunday, December 1, if residents are interested in dropping off materials on their own.
