Large Tree Falls Through Summer Ave. Home
Scanner reports indicated that a large tree was forced through the roof of a home due to an afternoon storm.
Reading firefighters are on Summer Ave. where a large tree fell through a home.
According to scanner transmissions, the tree fell on to the home around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
As a result, Reading Municipal Light Department and the Tree Department each were required on scene.
The initial scanner report indicated that the large tree was involved in a prior call fielded by the Fire Department.
When contacted by Patch, a Reading Police dispatcher confirmed that firefighters were still on scene around 4:30 p.m.
