Community Corner

A Stroll to Remember

Supporting Sanborn Home Care & Day Services.

The David K. Johnson (DKJ) Foundation is hosting its 1st annual 5k "A Stroll to Remember" along Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 21, 2012 between 10am – 2pm.  This DKJ Foundation event "A Stroll to Remember" raises money and awareness for Sanborn Adult Day Services located on Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield.  This is a vitally important
non-profit organization serving the needs of our surrounding communities. The
5k stroll will begin and end at 607 North Avenue, Suite #18-3, Wakefield.

The DKJ Foundation was founded on behalf of Bruce and Gregg Johnson's father who was cared for by the Sanborn Family, and they greatly enhanced his quality of life.  During the past 10 years the Reading based foundation has donated over $170,000 to Sanborn Place, Home Care & Day Services as well as other charities.  Our mission is to promote awareness and provide support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

This walk is an exciting event that we hope will include hundreds of participants. The DKJ Foundation is the Fund Raising arm of Sanborn Place, Home Care & Day Services.
