Heavenly Spa Changes to Escape Day Spa

Find out about the changes at the North Reading spa.

Heavenly Spa at has changed owners and is now Escape Day Spa. Tanya Lobuono is the new owner and has made several changes to the spa.

After taking over earlier in the summer, Lobuono has incorporated an Ultrasonic Dermasound machine to the spa that offers medical facials. Dermasound facials help with fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness under the eyes and it extracts black heads and other impurities. The Dermasound facial takes about the same time as a regular European facial, but costs more. A European facial costs $70 and the Dermasound facial costs $150. However, if it is your first time you can get the special price of $100 to try it out.

Once you try the Dermasound facial, you never want to go back to regular facials, Lobuono said.

Lobuono, an esthetician herself, has a staff of three estheticians and three massage therapists. In addition to various types of facials and massages, the spa offers airbrush tanning, waxing, microdermabrasion, body scrubs and makeup applications. They offer laser hair removal once per month and frequently work with bridal parties and clients going to the prom or other formal events.

The spa has a great and friendly staff and is worth every penny you spend, Lobuono said.

"It's rewarding to own your own business to be able to take care of people and make their skin look great and have them come back because their skin looks great," she said.

Escape Day Spa will hold their grand opening on September 22 in conjunction with . The spa will offer both complimentary 10 minute chair massages and 15 minute express Dermasound facials at the opening.

For the month of September, they are offering 10 percent off waxing, 20 percent off facials and 30 percent off massages.

The spa is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Sunday. Health Time Fitness offers childcare from 9 to 11 a.m. that spa customers can take advantage of while getting treatments.

The massage person was very good but she felt she had to keep appoligizing for the confusion (open house) and noise (which my opinion - they should not have booked massage with an open house going on) ... the owner was over- whelmed and not very pleasant ... needs to work on that to build up a business. Unfortunately it was an unpleasant experience and will not go back... and I love massages !!

I was a prior client to the old owner and that staff and was not happy with them! I figured I would give the new owner and staff a chance and see how things went! Well needless to say I was very happy with the staff and the new owners! Things have changed completely and I was greeted with such great manners and really enjoyed myself! I have and will continue to be a client and recommend all of my friends and family to give it a try! Thank you for the wonderful experience and I wish you all nothing but success!
