Rams Athletic Complex is a new 30,000 square foot facility located on Concord Street. The state of the art facility boasts batting cages, infield turf, pitching areas with mounds, a bullpen and fitness area.

While the facility caters to baseball and softball players, they offer one on one strength and conditioning that can be helpful when playing any sport.

The complex offers clinics in five-week sessions, private lessons and small group programs. They have a study room where players can take lessons or students can do homework if they have downtime.

One of the three owners Jeff Mejia said, “We have about 200 players already.”

Mejia is co-owner of the Boston Jr. Rams AAU program and entering his seventh year as Infield Coach at Suffolk University.

The facility is open Monday through Friday from 2 to 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

"It’s a great softball town and it’s a great baseball town. Youth sports here are extremely strong,” said Mejia. "This area was in need for a state of the art place where young players could work on their game year round with high quality instruction."

I surely wish them great success. With the popularity of baseball & softball here in town, they should do well. However, I found it ironic that last weekend, with sunny skies and temps in the 70s, their parking lot was packed yet there wasn't a soul out on any of the 4 baseball or softball fields we drove past..
