Five Things to Do This Weekend

A bike clinic, YMCA open house and live music are on tap this weekend.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some ideas:

Where/when: , Saturday 9 a.m.
Why go: Get your bike in shape for the summer. A bike technician from will be on hand at Memorial Park to host a bike clinic for Reading residents. Bring one bike per person. The last sign in time is at 10:30 a.m.

Where/when: , North Reading, Friday, 11 a.m.
Why go: Attend the grand opening celebration for a chance to win a free Motorola Droid, Motorola Tablet or other prizes. See the ribbon cutting at noon on Friday.

Where/when: , Saturday at 7:30 p.m.  
Why go: Enjoy live music by the Reading Community Singers.

Where/when: , Saturday and Sunday
Why go: Bring your whole family and workout at the Y for free. Participate in family activities: Family workout times (Saturday and Sunday 1-7 p.m.) and Open Swim times (Saturday 1-6:30 p.m., Sunday 10-11 a.m. and 12:45-6:30 p.m.).

Where/when: New To You Consignments, Friday and Saturday
Why go: New to You is closing on May 31. Everything is now marked at the lowest price and they are also having a $5 bag sale. More merchandise is added daily. Their hours have changed: Tuesday and Wednesday 10 to 4 p.m., Thursday 12 to 6 p.m., Friday 10 to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 to 2 p.m. The only Sunday they are open is May 20 from 10 to 2 p.m.
