Five Things to Know Today: Dec. 4

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

Today is Tuesday, Dec. 4. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 54, tonight a low around 41.

2. North Reading Community Planning Commission. The Community Planning Commission will meet at North Reading Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. The planning administrator position is on the agenda.

3. Reading Board of Selectmen. The selectmen will meet at 7 p.m. at Reading Town Hall. A request for re-naming of the Senior Center and a one day liquor license request for John Lippett are both items on the agenda.

4. New Art Teacher Reception. Stop by the Reading Senior Center to welcome their new art teacher Steve Grecco. Refreshments will be served.

5. A Christmas Carol. Watch a a production of the Dickens' classic,  A Christmas Carol, performed by The Hampstead Stage Company at the Flint Memorial Library at 6 p.m.
