Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

Today is Friday, Feb. 1. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. Expect partly sunny skies today with a high near 33, tonight a low around 20.

2. Solo Art Show. Attend Brendan Sullivan's Solo Art Show at Austin Preparatory School. Sullivan will display his nature photographs during “Naturally – An Exhibition of Photos” in the school’s Murphy Art Gallery. The exhibit runs through the month of February, but there is an Opening Reception tonight at 7:00 pm. The event is free open to the public.

3. 9 to 5. The North Reading High School Masquers will perform the play 9 to 5 at the high school at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.

4. Stories and songs storytime. Bring your two and three-year-olds to the Flint Memorial Library at 9:30 a.m. for stories and songs storytime.

5. Mission of Deeds Buy-A-Bed campaign. Help the Mission of Deeds by donating to their Buy-A-Bed campaign. With each $90 raised they can buy a new bed set for a person in need. Donate at local businesses in Reading and North Reading.
