Five Things to Know Today: Jan. 3

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

Today is Thursday, Jan. 3. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. Today will be partly cloudy with a high near 23, tonight a low around 14. Expect partly cloudy skies.

2. Reading ZBA. The ZBA will meet at Reading Town Hall at 7 p.m.

3. Blood Drive. Donate blood at the American Red Cross blood drive at Aldersgate United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. Donors will get a free pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee.

4. The Wizard of Oz. Register for the new theatre course at Creative Arts with instructor Kelly Walsh. Classes are held on Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. from January 3 to March 14. The performances of The Wizard of Oz are scheduled for March 15 and 16. Students will create sets and costumes and sing, act and dance.

5. Stump Trivia. Play a game of Stump Trivia at the Great American Tavern at 8 p.m.
