Five Things to Know Today: Oct. 4

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

Today is Thursday, Oct. 4. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 73 degrees in the afternoon and drop to 55 in the evening. Expect scattered showers and possible thunderstorms.

2. Reading ZBA. The ZBA will meet at Reading Town Hall at 7 p.m. There is one public hearing regarding ZBA Case # 12-13 on the agenda.

3. North Reading High School Council. The North Reading High School council will meet at North Reading High School at 2:15 p.m. The school improvement plan and high school budget are both items on the agenda.

4. NANOWRIMO. North Reading residents Nancy Parsons and Danielle Masterson will talk about the novels they wrote last November as part of National Novel Writing Month. Stop by the Flint Memorial Library at 7 p.m.
