1. Reading-North Reading Patch's Person of the Year 2012. After receiving 51 votes, Sarah Lentz is our new Person of the Year! Lentz is a kindergarten teacher at the Barrows School in Reading.

3. . North Reading High School senior Janelle Yull won first place in the 2013 Doug Ingalls Audition Scholarship through the Massachusetts Educational Drama Guild after performing along with 100 other hopefuls. She will perform her audition monologues on the John Hancock stage in Boston in March.

4. . Just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, an older male drove his vehicle into the Subway on Lowell Road in North Reading. The crash caused minor damage to the car and sub shop.
