Tallman Eye Associates Welcomes Dr. Robert O. Kwon

Dr. Kwon specializes in a variety of ophthalmological surgical specialties in including cataract surgery, refractive surgery, corneal surgery, anterior segment surgery, plastic surgery and other retina specialty work. He is a graduate of the prestigious Northwestern University and followed with a residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City and a fellowship with Dr. Francis Price, a world renowned surgeon in Indianapolis, Indiana.

RMHS Girls' Soccer Fundraiser

The Reading Memorial High School Girls’ Soccer Team invites you to Capri Pizza this Monday, Oct. 15, from 5-10 p.m. to support the team this season. Capri Pizza will generously donate 20 percent of all pizza sales (delivery and eat-in) to the RMHS Girls’ Soccer program. Take a night off from cooking, and help benefit a great group of athletes.

Fall-iday Fair

Church of the Good Shepherd, Reading will hold their annual "Fall-iday Fair" on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3. Doors open Friday at 6 p.m. and runs through 8 p.m. The fair will be open Saturday from 9 a.m.-1  p.m. There will be something for everyone: crafts, baked goods, jewelry, books, toys, vendors and raffles. Also, the Bargain Box Thrift Store operated by the church will be open throughout the fair.

North Reading Nitro Win GU14 Championship

At the Columbus Day Soccer Tournament sponsored by the North Andover Soccer Association, North Reading Nitro girls (GU14) won the top Division 1 bracket. The champions from North Reading went 2-1 in pool play, then defeated the previously undefeated North Andover Scarlet Angels in penalty kicks after 2 scoreless periods. In the very tense final game, Nitro faced the undefeated Wilmington Wildcats, and won 1 - 0 with the winning goal in the final 3 minutes by Marissa Zarella.

NRHS Class of '82 Reunion

The North Reading High School Class of 1982 will be celebrating its 30 year reunion on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Kitty’s Restaurant from 7-11 p..m. Tickets are $30 per person and include a dinner buffet, great music and dancing, and catching up with old friends. 

Reading Lions Club Hosts 3rd Annual Operation Troop Gift Wrapping Event

Operation Troop Support sends 30,000 holiday presents to service men and women every December and they all need to be wrapped! On Saturday, October 20, the Reading Lions Club will host the 3rd annual Operation Troop Support Holiday Gift Wrapping Event.

Operation Troop Support will supply the gifts and wrapping supplies all we need is you! The Lions Club invites all members of the community to join this special volunteer effort. Anyone able to wrap a present is welcome! The Holiday Gift Wrapping event will take place from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Reading Senior Center on Pleasant Street.
