Celebrate Paddy's 2nd Birthday!

Paddy the
white-cheeked gibbon will turn 2 years old in September! In honor of this
special occasion, guests are invited to celebrate at a special birthday party
for Paddy on September 14. The white-cheeked gibbon exhibit will be festively
decorated and the gibbons will enjoy treats just for them. Guests will receive
complimentary treats of their own - delicious cake provided by Amanda Oakleaf
Cakes (first come, first served).

 As part of the
celebration, don’t miss the music of Vanessa Trien and The Jumping Monkeys –
one of Boston's favorite musical bands for families! Vanessa Trien will perform
in the amphitheater at 11:00 a.m. There will also be zookeeper encounters,
crafts and other fun activities throughout the day.

Gibbons are a
species of ape and are endangered animals native to Southeast Asia. They
typically weigh between 12 and 16 pounds, are monogamous (pair bonded) and are
considered extremely active animals. Because gibbons are arboreal, or tree
dwellers, the exhibit at Stone Zoo is 20 feet tall to allow them to climb high
as in their natural environment.
