All performances will feature a brief talk-back with the cast and crew not only about the show, but about being in the drama club!
The show is based on real people and real events that happened in the 1790s in Pennsylvania. The show follows Mary Girard who was unjustly kept in an insane asylum by her husband who had enough money and power to hold her there for life. A large part of the story is fictionalized by the appearance of a Greek chorus style of actors (furys) inspired by Mary’s thoughts. They narrate most the show and toy with Mary’s mind until she can finally understand her place in society.
