Reading Civic Concert Band - Mother's Day concert

The

Reading Civic Concert Band will staging “Fire Sale” on Sunday, May 11th at 3:00pm, at the Wood End Elementary School.  The title fits, because a large sheet-music supply house just went out-of-business. Conductor/Director Lucinda Ellert jumped on the chance to acquire a ton of new old tunes, spanning the American Century of music, and all for a song.  So invite your Mom, and come expecting to hear something Completely Different.

Unchanged, however, is the band tradition of audience participation and prizes.  RCCB is a non-profit band of 30 volunteers from Reading and all over the North Shore.  Concert admission is charged solely to cover production expenses
and rentals, so the admission at the door will be $12, ($8 for seniors and students) - and children 8yo and under are free.

Please
note that the concert venue, Wood End Elementary School, is a change since the event was first publicized in the town’s Your Community Connection mailing.

The
band is also calling for voluteers to join their Summer cycle, performing in
both the Concerts On The Common series, and at the Reading Street Fair.  Those interested in joining,  and also long-time fans of the band, should note the band has switched to a NEW (shorter!) website: ReadingConcertBand.org
