Reading Public Library's Big Read Kick-Off

Reading Public Library will launch its Big Read program in celebration of The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri with a kick-off event for all ages at the Reading Memorial High School Performing Arts Center on March 28th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
Come out and enjoy an evening of literature, arts, and community featuring henna artists, children’s crafts, music, and appetizers from The Ambassador Restaurant followed by a Classical Indian Dance performance by the Triveni School of Dance. Take home a library copy of The Namesake and a full calendar of BIG events. This event is free of charge and no registration is needed.

The Big Read Kick-Off is presented in partnership with Century 21 North Shore and The Friends of Reading Public Library.
The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts, designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment. The Big Read is managed by Arts Midwest. For more information, please visit www.readingpl.org
