The Board of Selectmen has declared May 31 through June 1 as Walk Reading Weekend.
Anytime over the weekend, all the citizens of Reading are invited to take a walk, bike, hike or run to explore your town.
The event is jointly sponsored by the Reading Trails Committee, Walkable Reading and Reading Open Land Trust. To participate, just put on something red - shirt, belt, scarf, ribbon, etc. and walk out your door. For more information about walks that you can join, links to maps of Neighborhood Walks and Trails, or to find out how to report how far you went, see the Trails Committee webpage on the Town website - www.readingma.gov/trails-committee. Let's get Reading moving!!
