Chess at Reading Public Library

Learn how to play chess at the library.

The following was submitted by the Reading Public Library:

If you have always wanted to learn how to play chess; if you used to play but haven’t in a while, or if you are a veteran chess player who needs a partner, drop into the on Saturday, July 21 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. to join a game.

The Library will have tables set up for players of all ages and abilities. (Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult).  High School and Middle School-aged volunteers will be available to teach chess to beginners of all ages.  Come alone, or bring a friend for an hour of fun. Chess sets will be provided.

The drop-in program continues the third Saturday of each month at 3:00 p.m.  Please call the library at 781-944-0840 for further information.
