Have Fun and Support Your Local Community at the Chamber’s 5th Annual Women Celebrating Event

The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 5th Annual Women Celebrating fundraiser on Thursday, May 10, at the Boston/Woburn Hilton Hotel ballroom in Woburn from 6-9:30 pm. This year promises to be the best yet, featuring more than 30 local exhibitors and restaurants from Reading and North Reading. 

“This event is a fabulous opportunity to shed light on some of the amazing industry we have right here in Reading and North Reading,” said Chamber Executive Director, Julie Higgins. “Women Celebrating allows those businesses to be showcased in a creative and fun setting while offering an enjoyable night out for community members.”

Women Celebrating 2012 highlights will include the always popular women’s fashion shows featuring clothing and accessories from Aine’s Boutique, while Lumina Salon models will take to the runway modeling trend-setting hairstyles.  In addition to women’s fashion, the men will take the stage this year featuring clothing from Giblees Menswear and Golf Town. And, since no evening of fun is complete without music, once again, this years’ event will be entertained by popular DJ, Music on the Move. 

Along with the staged events, exhibitors will offer massages, minute manicures, product samples, discount coupons and demonstrations.  Reading Co-operative Bank is sponsoring a photo booth, giving attendees a chance to have their picture taken with their friends at no charge.  Throughout the evening, the Chamber will also raffle off many prizes, including grand prizes featuring such things as a "Party on the Patio" from The Horseshoe Grille, “Girls Night Out” at , and a “Day of Beauty & Pampering” by Lumina Salon and Aine's Boutique.

Food for the event will be provided by local eateries such as , , Cupcake City, , Cookies-n-Cream, and . Specialty martinis and a cash bar will also be provided.

Tickets to Women Celebrating are available through the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce for $25 in advance or $30 at the door.  For your convenience, tickets can also be purchased in North Reading at Ryer’s County Store, Brissontẻ, The Horseshoe Grille, and The Jewelry Vault.  In Reading, tickets are available at Aine’s Boutique, Lumina Salon, Reading Gymnastics Academy, The Hitching Post, and the Burbank YMCA.  Proceeds generated from this event will go to Chamber-sponsored community events such as the Outstanding Citizens Awards and the Holiday Lighting Festivals.
