Local Playgroup Looking for Members

Moms and Tots is a playgroup started by a resident for local moms.

Resident Linda Moriarty formed last April. She currently has 99 families participating, and hopes for many more to join.

“We have a very active group of people who want to see a change in the community and make a difference for our kids,” Moriarty said.

She stays in touch with the families using Meetup.com and will post upcoming events on the Patch calendar. North Reading Moms and Tots hosts playgroups, story times, concerts, baby yoga and more. They even have events for moms, including nights out where moms get together and go to a local wine bar or restaurant, do pottery, take a zumba class or participate in their book club Books, Wine and Chocolate.

“We do all kinds of things,” Moriarty said. “The goal for 2012 is to have, once a month, significant others get involved."

There are no fees to join. If you are interested in getting involved, search for North Reading Moms and Tots on Meetup.com or email northreadingmoms@gmail.com.
