Reading Businesses Teaming Up to Raise Money for Friends of Library

A total of 18 businesses are donating percentages of sales to Friends of the Library.

Across the country it is National Friends of the Library Week. In Reading, local businesses are teaming up to help out Reading Public Library.

National Friends of the Library Week runs October 20 through October 26, and according to a Patch blog post, 18 businesses in town will offer percentage of sales either throughout the week or on specific days this week.

Longhorn Steakhouse is donating 10% of its Wednesday sales to the library, while Bertucci's is donating 15% of its sales Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Among the businesses donating percentages throughout the week are The Hitching Post, Zinga Frozen Yogurt, Simms Jewelry and Reading Trophy & Shirt.
