When Will North Reading Roads be Improved?

Readers want to know when certain North Reading roads will be repaved.

Welcome to You Ask... Patch Answers where we answer readers questions. We recently received questions about the condition of North Reading roads. Patch readers want to find out more about the town's plan to fix certain roads. Here's your answer.

According to the (DPW) Director Richard Carnevale, the first section of Country Club Road is the only road that is going to be fixed, however, the department does have plans to fix other roads if funding becomes available.

"The only street we are definitely doing at this point is the first half of Country Club Road; We have plans to do Central St. from North to Spruce, Tower Hill Road, and School Hill Lane if funding is available," Carnevale said.

According to a press release from the DPW, repairs of minor road defects are ongoing, road paving will start later in the spring and private gravel road grading started in March.

"If residents have questions they can contract the DPW at ," Carnevale said.
