How Can You Dispose of Your Christmas Tree in Reading?

The holidays are over, and it's time to clean up your tree. Here's how you can do it.

Christmas just ended. But admit it. You're starting to think about getting rid of that shedding tree. So how can you do it?

The answer is simple. In Reading, all you have to do is drop your Christmas tree out by the curb.

Reading offers curbside tree collection, according to the Department of Public Works.

Residents can leave their tree by the curb during their regular collection day the week of January 13 through January 17.

In case you are hoping to keep the holiday spirit alive for a little longer, you can instead dispose of your tree at the Compost Center on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as long as you have a new sticker.

The only stipulation for both forms of disposal dates is that you cannot put your tree in a bag, and all decorations must be removed.

Hope you had a great Christmas, Reading!
