Young Women's League of Reading Dinner Dance A Huge Success

The Young Women's League of Reading hosted its annual dinner dance on Saturday, February 1 at the Hillview Country Club. The group's 25 members were joined by reigning Miss Massachusetts Caroline Lunny as they greeted over 250 attendees who dined and danced for a good cause!  Based on preliminary estimates, the event raised close to $14,000, which will be disbursed among community groups, foundations, organizations and families in need.

Thanks to cash raffle sponsors Honda Gallery, Morgan Stanley (The Whittmore Dodge Group), Shoebuy.com and Sumi Sinnatamby, Realtor, two lucky winners took home $500 cash.  Additionally, there were 70 balloon raffles and over 40 silent auction prize packages donated by local businesses and individuals.

The Young Women’s League of Reading, Inc. is a philanthropic organization, benefiting individual charities, scholarships, and social needs in the Reading, MA area. In the past five years alone, the group has raised and returned to the community more than $60,000.
