Bring Your Spare Change to the Thanksgiving Foot Ball Game: Touchdowns for Hunger Will Be Collecting for Local Food Pantries

Two local teens collect money for food pantries at the Thanksgiving game.

Robert and Nick LoConte and a few friends from Lynnfield High School will be collecting change during Half Time of the Thanksgiving Day football game between Lynnfield and North Reading.  They are calling their fundraising effort Touchdowns for Hunger and would like to make this an annual tradition.  This collection will benefit Gathering Change, Inc. and be subsequently donated to the food pantries in Lynnfield and North Reading.  The teens will be sporting orange tee shirts and milling the crowd during Half Time with buckets for spectators to deposit their change.  This fundraiser was inspired by Nick’s desire to contribute to hunger relief in his own community.  Checks made out to Gathering Change, Inc. are also accepted.  See www.gatheringchangeinc.org for more information about GCI.
