Fencing begins Monday, February 4th from 4:30-5:30pm. Myth Quest Edutainment brings FUN-damentals of fencing to North Reading. This is a great way to try fencing without buying the expensive equipment. Whether you are new or experienced, you will learn new techniques and will get to try out your new swashbuckler skills in duels and sword games each week. This is a 6 week program for ages 8-13. Way Cool Cooking School runs Wednesday’s, February 13th, from 3:45-4:45pm. Come mess up our kitchen. Have tons of fun while you learn to cook some of our old time favorites. Kids come cook and bake and get creative while learning new recipes ranging from cookies and cupcakes to tacos or macaroni and cheese! Enjoy a new creation each week to taste and take home. Seasonal and holiday recipes will be featured! This 6 week long program is for Grades 1 –5. Cost $63.00 (all supplies included). Location: Recreation Center at IRP.
Sci Fi runs Tuesday’s, February 5th from 4-5pm. This program is for ages 7-11. Take a look at how science fiction has inspired the inventions and cool gadgets of today. We'll see how far fetched stories from long ago have become the everyday technology of the present. We'll build and experiment with our own models of an X-wing fighter, hovercraft, submarines, and a communication device as we let imagination shape our future! 6 wk program. Cost: $98.00. Karate for Kids begins Monday, February 4th, for children ages 3.5-12 years. Try our introductory class and learn the fundamentals of Taekwondo. Kids will be introduced to a system based on a lifetime learning process in addition to technical martial arts skills. This 6 week long programs runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, @6:00PM and Saturday, 11:15 AM. Cost: $84.00 (includes uniform).
