John "Jack" P. Collins, Jr. of Reading, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 64 years of age.
Born in Cambridge, Jack was the loving son of the late John P.Collins, Sr. and Muriel (Maher) Collins. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to those who knew him.
Jack was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1967 and Suffolk Law School 1975. He was the President of Suffolk Law School his Senior year. Jack was an avid sports fan. He worked an attorney with his father, John Sr., at his law office in Reading for over 20 years.
Jack was the beloved husband of Susan (Graves) Collins. He was the devoted father of John Collins and his wife Heidi, Jill Marquis, Scott Collins, Karrie Collins and the late Allen Gilligan. Jack was the cherished grandfather of Meghann, Chloe, Rhea, Meghan, Niev and Carson. He was the dear brother of James Collins and his wife Amy and Joseph Collins. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
