Five Things: Live Music, Warm Weather and Food Sensitivities

With an exercise class and some small cars.

Today is Thursday, Feb. 17. Here are five things you need to know:

Break out your running shoes. High temperatures are slated to reach 47 degrees today, according to Weather Underground. While that’s nowhere near beach weather, it is edging into the lower end of outdoor activity range. Can you buck your food sensitivity? The Natural Food Exchange will begin a on reversing your food sensitivity tonight. Certified Herbalist Cindy Hebbard says she can help you reduce your body’s immune response to otherwise-harmless foods. Pre-register by calling 866.755.929.

Bounce to the music. The Senior Center will host its today. The class boasts that it offers a total body workout, including weight training and stretching.

In the mood for live entertainment? Lynnfield’s Fat Cactus will host tonight.

But did it come in more than black? On this day in 1972, the Volkswagen Beetle overtook the Ford Model T as the best selling automobile of all time. After it ceased production early last decade, it left two living legacies.: first, the less affordable and more stylish “New Beetle;” second, the enduring market for small cars like mine.
