Andover Man Faces Five Counts of Violating Protective Order

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrest

At 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, a resident reported that someone they are familiar with was continuing harassment against them. As a result, Jonathan A. Anderson, 23, of 40 Wildrose Drive, Andover, was arrested on five counts of violation of a protective order. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. 

Police were called to Lincoln Street on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 9:57 p.m. for a report of a man being abusive to a family member. As a result, James J. Thomaszewski, 47, of 19 Lincoln Street, Reading, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.

  • At 2:44 a.m. four people were reported to be fighting outside of a building on Elm Street.

Monday, Dec. 9

  • At 8:00 a.m. officers assisted with a lockdown drill at a pair of schools in town.
  • At 9:06 a.m. on Grove Stret, a car drove into a pole though no one was injured.
  • At 9:24 a.m. another car was reported as striking a pole on Main Street, but again no injuries were reported.
  • At 9:44 a.m. a man was going through trash on Hemlock Road.
  • At 10:41 a.m. a car slid off the road on Lowell Street with no injuries.
  • At 11:52 a.m. Maine State Police found a possibly stolen ATV with Reading ties.
