Armed Robbery at Stop & Shop in Reading Tuesday Night

The suspect passed a note to the store clerk that stated an explosive was planted on his body.

Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday night, a white male robbed the Stop & Shop on Walkers Brook Drive in Reading, according to .

After walking around the store for several minutes, the male stepped up to the courtesy booth at the grocery store and passed a note to the clerk demanding money. The note also stated, "there has been an explosive planted on me." 

The male was approximately six-feet tall, has a goatee, short hair cut and thin build. He was wearing a dark green military-style baseball cap, aviator sunglasses with dark lenses, a dark fleece jacket, jeans and white running shoes. He left the store on foot.
