Car Egged and Lawn Mower Falls Off Vehicle

This is an excerpt from the North Reading police log for May 25-26.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the  from Wednesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

Larry Edward, 29, of 276 Park Street, North Reading, was arrested on Wednesday for Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle.

Kevin Guptill, 28, of 103 Main Street, North Reading, was arrested Thursday for violation of a Harassment Order.

Wednesday

At 10:52 a.m., a caller reported another motor vehicle backed into hers. The car left the scene, but followed the woman to to exchange paperwork. The damage was minor.

At 5:30 p.m., a Main Street resident reported that on May 13 her vehicle was struck by another car in the parking lot. Police requested a surveillance video from Wal-mart and are still investigating.

Thursday

At 7:46 a.m., a Main Street resident called to report a minor motor vehicle crash at . The drivers exchanged information, and the damage was minor.

At 11:55 a.m., an officer noticed a lawn mower in the road at the intersection of Main and North Streets. The lawn mower had fallen off of a vehicle. The party was notified and able to return to the scene and remove the lawn mower.

At 10:41 p.m., a Putnam Road resident called to report a car driving by and egging two cars in his driveway. The caller saw 3 or 4 kids in the car, and took down the registration number. The registration owner was contacted and told police that her son was driving the car. Her son was spoken to by police and agreed to pay restitution for the damages.
