Car Strikes Pole on Summer Ave., Knocking Out Power
The crash happened early Thursday morning.
Power was knocked out to many residents in the southern part of town Thursday morning after police said a car struck a utility pole.
The crash happened at about 6:30 a.m.
Power was restored by about 9 a.m. Police said anyone still experiencing outages should call the Reading Municipal Light Department at 781-944-1340.
Several telephone line outages were also reported.
