The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the Reading Police Department in recent days. The information is open to the public.

Sunday, September 22

  • At 5:04 a.m. a woman on Woburn Street reported that she heard footsteps on her back porch.
  • At 1:49 p.m. a customer was threatening a McDonald’s employee at the drive thru.
  • At 2:18 p.m. the Fire Department received a Lifeline call for an 87-year-old woman that had fallen.
  • At 3:14 p.m. a resident of a Main Street housing unit alleged that an employee was stealing from her.
  • At 6:09 p.m. a swing on King Street was reportedly cut down from a tree and stolen.

  • At 1:04 a.m. a resident of Johanna Drive requested extra checks of the area.
  • At 8:48 a.m. a driver was rear ended while driving on Main Street and Washington Street.
  • At 11:49 a.m. a resident was caught going through motor vehicles on Haverhill Street.
  • At 3:18 p.m. a resident on Union Street reported an incident with their neighbor.
  • At 3:46 p.m. a Lowell Street resident complained that they were worried about sanitary issues at a nearby home.
  • At 4:33 p.m. a three-car motor vehicle crash occurred on Summer Ave. with unknown injuries.
  • At 5:04 p.m. a 17-year-old resident at Ashley Place was choking.
