Minor Arrested for Driving, Possession of Alcohol and Female Hit by Car in Reading

The following is an excerpt from the Reading Police Department log from Thursday through Monday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 7:35 p.m. Thursday, Derek Goodwin, 21, of 104 Scotland Rd. was arrested on Scotland Road on a warrant.

At 1:28 p.m. Friday, as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pearl Street, Eligio Chilel Perez, 23, of 15 North Federal St., Lynn was arrested on charges of unlicensed operation and improper left turn.

At 9:34 p.m. Saturday, as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Haverhill Street, a 15-year-old was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle without being licensed, operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger, speeding, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and minor in possession of alcohol. Three Reading females, who were passengers in the vehicle, were summonsed for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and minors in possession of alcohol. Another female passenger was summonsed for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. All of the parents were notified and picked up their children.

Thursday, Dec. 13

• At 12:49 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on South Street. No injuries were reported.
• At 2:21 p.m., a caller reported credit card fraud.

Friday, Dec. 14

• At 8:44 a.m., a Belmont Street resident reported that she was having a problem with her neighbor. The neighbor had several school buses parked on his property. The neighbor said he would move the buses the next day.
• At 10:50 a.m., a caller reported that her wallet was stolen from the Parker Middle School.
• At 5:03 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. The injuries were unknown. 
• At 7:40 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Charles Street. The accident was minor.

Saturday, Dec. 15

• At 1:10 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, Dec. 16

• At 2:50 p.m., a caller reported that her car was hit while parked on Avon Street. 

Monday, Dec. 17 

• At 8:12 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on Woburn Street. The injuries were unknown.
• At 2:21 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Woburn Street. The injuries were unknown.
• At 6:01 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Walkers Brook Drive. A female was struck by a car and then transported to the hospital.
• At 6:41 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Main Street. The injuries were unknown.
