Needle Found on High Street, Ambulance Called for Intoxicated Woman

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrest

On Tuesday, Dec. 25, police arrived at a Green Street residence in an attempt to serve a probation warrant.

Thomas J. Fleming, 68, of 31 Green Street, Reading, was arrested and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

  • At 8:44 a.m. a 46-year-old woman on Bay State Road was shaking and could not talk, resulting in an ambulance called to the scene.
  • At 11:25 a.m. a needle was found on a High Street sidewalk.
  • At 11:36 a.m. officers located a license plate in the snow bank near Market Basket.

Thursday, Dec. 26

  • At 5:52 a.m. a 31-year-old woman on Main Street was intoxicated and vomiting.
  • At 10:30 a.m. an intoxicated female on Main Street was having trouble breathing.
  • At 11:40 a.m. a resident on Fairchild Drive noticed a broken window.
  • At 12:10 p.m. a wire was reported down on Green Street.
  • At 1:34 p.m. a woman came to the station reporting items were taken from her 2009 Toyota.
  • At 4:08 p.m. vehicles were having trouble navigating a steep hill in the snow on Summit Drive.
  • At 10:35 p.m. State Police were looking to speak with a woman on Ash Street.
