Police Log: Thieves Strike Four Vehicles West of South Main

Notable entries from the Sunday, Sept. 25 police log.

12:23 a.m. An officer responded to a panic alarm at a High Street home and found the home secure.

2:38 a.m. An officer responded to an audible alarm at the Longhorn Steakhouse on Walkers Brook Drive and found the building secure.

7:34 a.m. An officer responded to a report of an injured turkey near the intersection of Lowell Street and Deering Street. An officer found the turkey and found that it had an injured foot, but determined that it would likely be okay.

7:38 a.m. An officer responded to a report of a tree limb blocking the roadway on South Street. The officer moved the limb to the side of the road and notified forestry department’s on-call worker.

7:49 a.m. An Orchard Park Drive resident reported that someone entered two unlocked vehicles on his property.

8:39 a.m. A Balsam Road resident reported that someone entered two vehicles at his home. Someone stole a laptop, GPS and briefcase from the vehicles.

12:40 p.m. An officer responded to a report of construction barrels in the road near the intersection of Pearl Street and Lucy Drive and removed the barrels.

12:53 p.m. A Belmont Street resident reported being the possible victim of identity fraud.

1:04 p.m. An officer responded to a two-vehicle collision between two Reading residents near the intersection of Pleasant Street and John Street.

5:07 p.m. An officer responded to a report that a shopping cart at Calareso’s had damaged two vehicles there.

5:38 p.m. An officer issued a citation to Elvin Rodriguez, 30, of Lynn charging him with driving an uninsured vehicle with a revoked registration.

5:40 p.m. A Green Street resident reported that he was having a problem with noisy neighbors.
