12:01 a.m. The fire department responded to a fire alarm at Boswell Road residence and found no fire.
12:06 a.m. Officer responded to a report of a fight in progress at a Haystack Road residence. An officer requested an ambulance to handle a resident with a bloody nose, but the resident refused treatment.
12:38 a.m. An officer responded to a complaint of fireworks near the intersection of Line Road and Harvest Street. An officer spoke to a Line Road resident in the area and advised him of the complaint. The resident agreed to stop.
1:44 a.m. A Washington Street resident reported a suspicious man walking into neighbors’ yards and carrying bags. The caller told police that the man was walking between houses carrying three big bags. Responding officers found two nearby vehicles that had been entered and burglarized. The vehicles’ owners reported Garmin GPS units missing.
4:04 a.m. An officer found three youths waking in the street on Main Street. The officer contacted the girls’ parents, who reported that they had been sleeping over at one of the girls’ homes when they snuck out.
4:49 a.m. A Washington Street resident reported an ongoing conflict with a neighbor after her front door alarm sounded and she believed it was him. Both residents agreed to avoid each other, and the neighbor denied any involvement in the latest incident.
5:37 a.m. An officer responded to a report of a truck emptying a dumpster at Romano’s Macaroni Grill on Walkers Brook Drive. The officer found no dump truck on the scene.
8:28 a.m. A Fairview Avenue resident reported that someone stole a package from Amazon off of her front porch.
9:38 a.m. An employee at the Dunkin Donuts on Main Street reported funding new graffiti on the side of his building. He said he planned to paint over it.
1:34 p.m. A Tennyson Road resident complained that a band at the High School was playing loudly.
5:34 p.m. Reading Police and Fire responded to a kitchen fire at a Jessica Circle residence. The fire department extinguished the fire and took one resident to the Lahey Clinic for treatment.
9:11 p.m. A Salem Street resident reported that someone stole a Magellan GPS device from his vehicle at some time during the night.
9:26 p.m. A Laurel Lane resident complained that a group of loud youths at the Joshua Eaton Elementary School were disturbing the neighbors. The youths were leaving as an officer arrived, but the officer informed them that they were not allowed to be on school property after dark.
10:15 p.m. An officer issued citations to three youths charging them with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
10:15 p.m. An officer issued a citation to Scott Spindler, 46, of Stoneham charging him with driving an uninsured vehicle with a revoked registration and defective equipment.
10:55 p.m. An Oak Ridge Road resident reported hearing male voices outside her home. An officer checked the area and found nothing suspicious.
