Reading and North Reading Winter Parking Ban Dates Announced

Find out when the winter parking ban starts in both towns.

The following details on the parking bans were provided by the Reading and North Reading Police Departments:

North Reading

  • No vehicles shall park in public rights-of-way between the periods of November 15 and April 15 from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. other than acting in an emergency. The fine is $25.
  • During snow operations/emergencies, parking in public rights-of-way shall be prohibited at all times. The fine is $25.

Reading

  • On street parking is not allowed from Nov. 1 to April 1. However, the police department provides a two week grace period and monetary fines commence on Nov. 15.
