A group of Reading firefighters used a unique tactic during the rescue of a little girl earlier this week - singing a tune from the new Disney favorite "Frozen."

When Kaelyn Kerr, 4, got stuck in an elevator with her mother and brother on Wednesday, the only way for them to get out was through the top of the elevator which meant climbing a ladder and going over a wall, according to Fox News.

The family was on their way to get a haircut inside a salon in town when the elevator door jammed, according to MyFoxBoston.com. They were stuck for about 30 minutes.

A scary thought for a 4-year-old, who was more than a bit nervous when firefighters dropped down the ladder. Little did she know they knew just what to do to put her at ease.

After Firefighter John Keough learned Kaelyn was a big fan of the Disney movie "Frozen," Firefighter Scott Myette queued up the music on his iPhone and the two sang "Let it Go" to calm the girl as she was rescued.

Frozen, an animated feature by Walt Disney Pictures about a princess with the power to make snow and ice, has grossed over $1 billion since its release in 2013. It has become a cultural obsession for millions of young girls worldwide.

Both firefighters are dads and say that's what prompted the idea to hum a tune in the first place, according to the MyFoxBoston report.

Kaelyn and her family are doing just fine.

That almost made me cry. The sweetest thing firemen did, ever.
