Reading Man Accused of Armed Robbery at Melrose Bank

A Reading man accused of armed robbery at the TD Bank North in Melrose on Sunday was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to police.

A Reading man accused of armed robbery at the TD Bank North in Melrose on Sunday was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to police.

At around 1:30 p.m. Oct. 24,Melrose Police executed an arrest warrant for Daniel Malonson, 33, of 31 Tennyson Road, Reading, according to a press statement. 

"Melrose Police obtained an arrest warrant based on their investigation, the use of surveillance security video, as well as information received by the Melrose Police Department TIPS line," reads the statement.

Malonson was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, as well as on charges related to the robbery on Oct. 20 at TD Bank North, located at 476 Main St., including armed robbery, making a bomb threat and witness intimidation.

Malonson is expected to be arraigned on Friday, Oct. 25 in Malden District Court.
