Reading Man Charged Following Domestic Incident

A sampling of calls handled by Reading Police Department in recent days.

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

On Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2:10 a.m., police responded to Middlesex Ave. for a report of a domestic incident in progress. 

Following the incident, police took into custody Michael R. Drillio, 31, of 125 Middlesex Ave., Reading, and charged him with domestic assault and battery, malicious destruction of property $250 or less, and they also took him into protective custody.

Sunday, Jan. 19

  • At 6:21 a.m. a possible violation of a harassment order was reported, but it came back unfounded.
  • At 11:59 a.m. CVS reported that a known shoplifter was in the store.
  • At 12:58 p.m. a woman on Elderberry Lane was having chest pains and an ambulance was called.
  • At 3:15 p.m. motor vehicles were illegally parked on both sides of Washington Street.
