Reading Resident Charged With Assault and Battery

A sampling of calls handled by Reading Police Department in recent days.

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

At 6:58 a.m. on Haverhill Street, a vehicle was stopped for speeding on Saturday, Nov. 23. As a result, Carlos Lopez, 37, of 70 river Street, Lynn, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and also charged with operating a motor vehicle after a suspended license and speeding.

Police responded to Prescott Street on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 8:34 p.m. Following the incident, officers arrested Artin Hrand Honarchian, 37, of 84 Prescott Street and charged him with assault and battery.

  • At 5:52 a.m. a homeowner found their vehicle door open and items inside moved on Old Farm Road.
  • At 7:59 a.m. a gray pocket book was found in the gutter on California Road.
  • At 9:16 a.m. three vehicles were found rummaged through overnight on Sturges Road.
  • At 9:29 a.m. on Old Farm Road a resident’s work motor vehicle was found with the door ajar. The caller said change was taken from the vehicle.
  • At 2:35 p.m. a raccoon was in a trash can on Echo Ave.

Saturday, Nov. 23

  • At 12:19 a.m. a father on Middlesex Ave. called to request his some removed from his home after a domestic incident.
  • At 12:39 a.m. a vehicle slid off the road and struck a fence on Summer Ave.
  • At 2:50 a.m. officers came across an open front door at the Burbank YMCA.
  • At 1:28 p.m. police received a call for two motor vehicles that were keyed overnight on Spring Street.
