Reading Resident Charged With Sexual Assault, Kidnapping at Curry College

According to a report in the college newspaper, the Reading resident was arrested on Friday.

According to a report in the Curry College student newspaper, a Reading resident was arrested Friday on charges that he sexually assaulted and kidnapped a fellow student.

The Currier Times reported that Robert "Troy" Jones, 19, of Reading, was charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery of a person over the age of 14 and one count of kidnapping.

Milton Police told the newspaper that the alleged assault did not necessarily take place on Friday, but it was first reported to campus police on Thursday. According to the Currier Times, Jones, a freshman listed on the school's football team, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court.
