Reading Woman Allegedly Used Drugs in Arlington Heights Parking Lot

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 45-year-old Reading woman was arrested Friday evening in Arlington Heights and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and possession of a Class B drug.

Police responded to Irene M. Paglia’s vehicle, which was parked in the lot behind Peter Pan Superette on Park Avenue, shortly after 7 p.m. after a caller reported that two people were using drugs in it.

Paglia, of Dana Road, was in the driver’s seat and the vehicle was running, according to police.

She failed field sobriety tests on scene, police said. Police allegedly found multiple pills and prescription pill bottles in her vehicle, along with a small glass containing a white residue.
