South Hamilton Resident Arrested for Assault and Battery

A sampling of calls handled by Reading Police Department in recent days.

The following information was compiled based on reports from the Reading Police Department and Woburn Police Department. An arrest does no indicate a conviction.

Arrests

At 11:00 p.m. police received a 911 abandoned call on Knollwood Road and a woman hung up on call back. 

Police arrived at the home and arrested Ian Z. Wilson, 26, of 16 Martel Road, South Hamilton. Wilson was charged with assault and battery following the incident.

Friday, Oct. 11

  • At 1:52 a.m. police located graffiti on the back side of Parker Middle School, though it was unknown if it was old damage or not.
  • At 8:00 a.m. police issued three citations for speed on Haverhill and Charles Street.
  • At 3:29 p.m. several motor vehicles were speeding through the Reading Athletic Club parking lot.
  • At 4:36 p.m. a man was being harassed by an ex-girlfriend via text messages and telephone calls.
  • At 4:55 p.m. a man was shooting BB guns in the woods next to Killam School.
  • At 7:42 p.m. a tree branch was down and caught in the wires on Gleason Road.
  • At 10:22 p.m. a 16-year-old male was found on the bathroom floor, prompting an ambulance to be called to the location.
